This looks beautiful.

I've always wondered how Moleskin would react to watercolor.
:iconflightlessmab:
it's sort of wierd...it just sort of lies there on the slickness of the paper, and at first I was getting really frustrated. What I ended up doing was applying very thin layers in the areas I wanted to be most saturated, and using a dry brush to sort of scuffle it all around and soak up the excess water. The other drawings I did with watercolor or guache, (squid, octopus) were less succcessful because I kept trying to apply it the way I would on heavier textured papers. BUT I finally think I have the hang of it now. Overall I'm really lovin the moleskine :)

Arrrgh....watercolors *bangs head* I can't use them! That whale's eye is beautiful, too.

What's moleskine paper?
:iconflightlessmab:
you know those sweet, indestructible, black covered notebooks all the artsy fartsy people have been carrying around recently? That's the moleskine brand, used by picasso and all the great writers of the 20th century and whatnot. The size is really handy.

Moleskin! Amazing. I love the bubbles, especially the color choices.
